II. Moodboard

The concept inspiration for this project centers on the boundary between reality and consciousness, capturing a surreal atmosphere that exists between wakefulness and dreaming.

Using collage-style imagery, floating elements, and soft, diffused light, the visuals aim to evoke a shifting inner state—an immersive space that feels both familiar and otherworldly.

These concept frames established the visual tone and narrative direction for later stages, including eyeball modeling in Maya, UE scene development, and the physical set build.

IV. UE Scene Construction

The scene was constructed in Unreal Engine, guided by the visual tone established in the concept frames.

IV. Practical Set Construction & LED Screen Shoot

In the live-action stage, we collaborated with the art department to construct a physical train wall, providing authentic foreground textures and realistic light interaction for the virtual production setup.

The Unreal Engine environment was then displayed on a 100-inch LED screen for the final virtual shoot, integrating the digital background with the physical set. By fine-tuning lighting direction, color temperature, and on-set reflections, the LED imagery blended seamlessly with the practical foreground, delivering the final look of the virtual production.

VI. Future Development
This project is currently presented as an early-stage exploration. The next phase will focus on further script development and narrative expansion, with the goal of completing a short film of approximately ten minutes.

Future development will deepen the psychological structure of the story, refine character presence, and expand the visual language of the subconscious world. Virtual production will continue to be employed as an integrated storytelling method throughout the project’s progression.
