Behind My Soul is a short film that explores self-inquiry through an Eastern philosophical perspective.

The story follows a pianist whose encounter with a fox spirit represents a manifestation of his inner consciousness. Through dreamlike transitions between confined darkness and a tranquil bamboo forest, the film blurs the boundary between reality and illusion.

Music, nature, and symbolic imagery intertwine to reveal a mirror-like relationship between desire and restraint, ultimately reflecting a journey toward inner stillness and self-recognition inspired by Zen aesthetics.
II. Storyboard
Previsualization was developed using PrevisPro to plan camera placement, movement, and spatial relationships prior to shooting.

III. Virtual Production Process Behind My Soul was produced using an LED-based virtual production workflow supported by the disguise system and Unreal Engine. Early-stage tests were conducted to calibrate LED playback, color consistency, and camera-to-environment alignment.




During production, Unreal Engine environments were rendered in real time and synchronized with the physical camera through the disguise system, enabling accurate perspective and interactive lighting on set.




Green screen shooting was intentionally used to represent the pianist’s entry into his inner fantasy, allowing the imagined space to feel detached from physical reality.






In addition, selected AI-generated shots—such as underwater fish movement and animated character performances—were integrated as complementary visual elements, extending the symbolic language of the film while maintaining overall visual coherence.
